The honest bit: none of these are Quayside apartments. They are family houses in Elswick, Gateshead and Low Fell — which is why ten people cost twelve pounds a head instead of forty-five.

The per-person figure divides the nightly rate by the number of separate beds, not the advertised maximum occupancy — nobody shares a bed to make the number work. Blyth is thirteen miles north of Newcastle on the coast, so it is listed here for completeness rather than as a Newcastle rate. Cleaning is charged once per booking and differs by house, so it is quoted with your dates rather than guessed at here.
A week is 10% cheaper per night. A month is 20% cheaper, and 30% on the Low Fell house.

The rate you see on a platform has the platform's cut built into it. Every operator prices to absorb it, because the platform takes its share of the booking either way.
Book the same house direct and there is no platform taking a cut, so the rate comes down by roughly the amount that was being absorbed. Same house, same team, same standards.
